Fujitsu has announced that the latest “Made in Germany” PCs and workstations are among the most reliable in the industry.

Thanks to the stringent production and testing process at its Augsburg manufacturing facility, Fujitsu has continued to ensure better PC and workstation reliability rates, achieving an additional 36% improvement over the past four years from a starting point already featuring industry-low failure rates.

With the introduction of new generation ESPRIMO PCs and CELSIUS workstations to the portfolio, Fujitsu is able to deliver a wide choice of reliable, professional desktop devices.

These reliable PCs and workstations are ‘Made in Germany’ at Fujitsu’s award-winning manufacturing facility. Widely recognised as Europe’s most modern facility for the manufacturing, development, configuration and staging of PCs, notebooks and servers, Fujitsu’s factory won the 2013 Bavarian Quality Award for its exceptional quality and innovation, quality of research and development, production and service.

All deskbound products throughout the ESPRIMO and CELSIUS portfolio, including main boards, are built in-house by Fujitsu at its Augsburg factory, giving full control over the whole production process and ensuring quality all the way from the design and planning stage, through to assembly.

Rigorous assessment procedures at the factory’s legally-certified test centre include vibration resistance, EMI tests and climatic stress checks among others. As a result, Fujitsu has been able to improve the failure rate for ESPRIMO PCs by 36% in just 48 months.

In addition to reliability, Fujitsu stresses innovation, design and the fast adaptation of new core technologies. With newly-redesigned devices ranging from the tiny footprint of the whisper silent ESPRIMO Q mini PC up to powerful CELSIUS workstations, Fujitsu’s portfolio meets every business need from standard office use up to demanding computing and visualisation applications.

The updated portfolio offers even more configuration options, including SSHDs (solid state hybrid drives). Eight new ESPRIMO PCs feature the latest fourth generation Intel Core processors, while the new CELSIUS W530 workstation also has Intel Xeon E3 processors. A new global look, with details in red, unifies the portfolio with a modern design.

“By manufacturing our PCs and workstations in the heart of Europe, not only do we show a strong commitment to European facilities, but even more importantly, we provide our customers with products that are among the most reliable on the market,” says Jörg Hartmann, VP, Workplace Systems Sales, Fujitsu Technology Solutions.

“It also means we can respond more quickly to customer ‘Build to Order’ or customising requests – because the finished products are not stuck in a container ship for six to eight weeks before reaching the European markets.

“This gives our customers greater flexibility than ever in choosing desktop PC and workstation solutions that exactly fit their needs. And of course lower failure rates mean less business disruption.”
