Online data backup specialist, IronTree, and Panda Security South Africa, have joined forces to extend IronTree’s cloud-based offering to the channel. In addition to its fully managed back-up service, IronTree now offers cloud security products and services, thanks to its relationship with Panda.
Available on a monthly basis, IronTree’s cloud based back-up solution is the recommended offsite backup solution for Sage Pastel, IQ Retail software, Pilot Point-of-Sale amongst others. Keen to expand its product range, IronTree saw a natural fit with Panda Security products.
Thanks to this partnership, the company is extending its offering to include endpoint security, through Panda’s Cloud Office Protection solution, and remote systems monitoring and management, with Panda’s Cloud Office Management System.
“IronTree has built a complete business management platform around online offsite backup so the addition of the Panda portfolio is a natural fit,” says marketing director, David Lees. “We provide complete management of client registration; management of a free trial period; on-going client management; and billing, enabling our channel to focus exclusively on sales and support.”
IronTree’s exclusive arrangement to sell Panda’s products via a monthly subscription, accessible directly from the Web site – represents an innovative sales opportunity for resellers who can build a recurring revenue stream without increasing their overheads in any way.
The IronTree Partner Program has been specifically designed so resellers are able to add real value for their customers through affordable monthly fees, as well as generate a growing annuity revenue stream from monthly payments for themselves.
“There is a real commercial synergy at play here,” says Jeremy Matthews, country manager for Panda.
“The beauty of this arrangement is that rather than adopting the standard commercial model for a solution such as Panda Cloud Office Protection, service providers can now self-provision and pay only for the number of activations used in any given month.”
Resellers, especially those offering managed services to customers, now have a real opportunity to take over antivirus as well as support and desktop management services on behalf of their customers. It’s no longer a case of simply selling on price but the service component is a real value-add.
