Epicor Software Corporation, a software solutions provider for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organisations, has signed four new partners in Africa as part of its new channel strategy that continues to gather momentum across EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
The new partners include: Glenco Consulting in South Africa; Innovative Apps in East and Southern Africa; Featherline Resources in Nigeria; and Bitz IT Consulting in Kenya and Somaliland.
Members of the Epicor Inspired Partner Network benefit from good margins, full support for the entire sales and implementation cycle as well as ongoing educational, technical and business development services.
“With the steady decline in sales of more costly tier one applications in South Africa, we have changed our corporate strategy to become a market leader through a more affordable ERP solution which we believe is desperately required in the South African market,” says Zaid Glennistor, chairman for Glenco Consulting. “We chose Epicor because of its robust offering and value for money while challenging and often, surpassing the functionality found in the larger tier-one solutions.”
“Bitz ITC focuses on enterprise-wide solutions and technologies that play a strategic role in enhancing an organisation’s competitiveness, efficiency and effectiveness,” says James Nganga, MD of Bitz IT Consulting. “As our business expands there is an increasing demand among our clients for a proven ERP system. Epicor ERP is the perfect fit for our customers because it streamlines processes specific to the industries we serve while offering stability and functionality with a long standing reputation.”
“The ERP market in Africa is set to grow as midsized companies and government look to improve efficiencies through innovative business software solutions with technology muscle,” says Andy Imafidon, MD of Featherline Resources Ltd. “Epicor is the perfect fit for this market and it offers a lower total cost of ownership making it a very attractive choice amongst astute decision makers.”
“Epicor ERP is designed to offer extensive flexibility, usability, and agility in support of application-to-application integration and business-to-business collaboration, key to enabling the delivery of information throughout the enterprise,” says Johani Marais, channel manager for Epicor in Africa. “Unlike some of our competitors we don’t want a large channel with resellers that compete against each other. Epicor offers true partnerships, often with some sort of specialism, perhaps domain or vertically driven or to cover certain geographic areas.”
The partner recruitment program focuses on partners that already have (ERP) experience, typically with knowledge of the larger systems such as SAP, Oracle, Infor or some Microsoft solutions.
“Epicor offers a wide range of business-specific solutions that our highly skilled team can implement in shorter time frames,” says Nishi Sharma, director of Innovative Apps. “The support we will receive from Epicor coupled with the integrated and flexible nature of the software gives us total confidence that we can implement small- and large-scale projects.”
Partners across the globe choose to work with Epicor because of its flexible and competitive products but also because Epicor is positioned as a visionary in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Single-Instance ERP for Product-Centric Midmarket Companies.
“Our comprehensive and structured enablement program is helping partners to identify and win the right opportunities and provide a high standard of services to customers in order to grow their own businesses and in turn increase our footprint in EMEA,” Marais adds.
