Distributor Drive Control Corporation is adding value for channel partners with a new Dell Proof of Concept (POC) centre at their headquarters in Johannesburg.
The POC centre will not only deliver training on Dell solutions, it will also enable resellers to test the features, applications and performance of Dell’s hardware, and to demonstrate the solutions to their end customers before purchase, ensuring the right fit for customers and assurance that solutions will meet their requirements.
“The POC centre is aimed at our Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) resellers who do not have the capacity or funding to constantly purchase the latest hardware and kit in order to train their engineers or demonstrate features to their customers. Resellers can now bring their engineers to DCC for training and ensure their skills remain up to date.
“They can also bring their customers to the centre, where concepts such as virtualisation, storage consolidation and the capabilities of the solutions can be demonstrated,” says Jaco Erasmus, Dell Enterprise sales at DCC.
“Instead of the traditional sales tools of presentations and slide shows, the POC centre is a hands-on facility that actively shows resellers and customers exactly how solutions work. Customers can, in effect, ‘try before they buy’ to ensure the solution meets their needs, and resellers can more easily convince their customers of the value of the solutions for easier selling, benefiting the entire channel and supply chain,” he adds.
DCC is the first distributor to offer a fully-fledged Dell POC and training centre, making the higher-end and enterprise-class products available for all resellers, including SMEs, to test and train on. Resellers will benefit from a greater understanding of the various hardware and kits, and the POC will also provide insight into how resellers can streamline and optimise their deployments, ensuring enhanced customer service and improved customer satisfaction.
