Esquire Technologies, the award winning broad-based distributor – including technology, digital lifestyle, consumer and mobile products – reports that since signing on as a distributor for Promate Technologies for the southern African region in the second quarter of last year, sales have been growing by 30% on a quarter-by-quarter basis.
This is according to Asgar Mahomed, MD of Esquire Technologies, who says Samsung and Apple were dominating the tablet and accessories marketplace. “Through our agreement with Promate we are able to gain access to this
market, and we are seeing accessory sales going through the roof, most noticeably with Apple and Samsung products.
He says a large number of Promate sales have being conducted via its Virtual Reseller Network (VRN), a fully-fledged supply chain management solution that gives its resellers around the clock access to their stockholding, enabling
them to order stock on-line – at any time of the night or day.
“It’s pretty effortless for the reseller. All he has to do is choose the product he wants and the system orders it – as well as automatically finding the fastest route to have the stock couriered, either to the reseller or directly to the
client.”
He says Promate has an impressive range of peripherals and accessories for smart computing, mobile and personal computing demands. But Mahomed stresses that Apple and Samsung were the top sellers, “by a long way”.
