Keith Matthews, in charge of BT’s African operations, will be leaving the organisation at the end of the month.
The official BT statement says Matthews will be pursuing new career opportunities, but Matthews hasn’t yet decided what he will be doing in the future.
Matthews has held the position for the past eight years and, during that time, has guided BT through major growth in the region. The growth period culminated in the recent move to a new corporate head office.
Matthews points out that the organisation is about to embark on a new era in its growth, and transformation has become more important.
He says the move has been amicable and in the best interests of BT going forward.
