Budapest, the Hungarian capital and World Heritage Site, is this year’s venue for the eighth celebration of NetApp’s EMEA Partner and Pathways Summit. The exclusive channel event lasting from June 10 to 12, 2014 is attended by executives from NetApp’s leading partners across the EMEA region, who receive latest updates about channel opportunities, corporate strategy, joint go-to-market, and much more.

The event is highlighted by the Wednesday evening gala dinner at the 18th century Chateau Kiscelli Museum where NetApp EMEA Partner Performance and Innovation Awards were presented in nine categories. This year’s winner in the categories of Outstanding Contribution Partner of the year and Midsize Market Partner of the Year from South Africa was Bytes Systems Integration.

“The NetApp EMEA Partner Performance and Innovation Awards are our way of honouring partners that demonstrate the ability to deliver joint growth, outstanding customer care and holistic expertise in the multi-faceted field of storage and data management,” says Thomas Ehrlich, NetApp vice-president Partners & Pathways EMEA.

“We have great partners all across Europe but these nine represent some of the finest. It is a great pleasure to say ’thank you’ and congratulate Byes for their wins in these two categories.”

Partners eligible for one of the nine awards were selected based on their success with NetApp and areas like technical knowledge, customer care and approachability, outstanding contributions to selected account business, customer wins, or marketing. The award winners enjoy a range of business benefits, including significant marketing funding.

In addition, NetApp hands out a charitable donation of $10 000 to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), which is presented on behalf of one award winner drawn during the gala dinner.

“In today’s data-driven world, storage and data management has become a mission-critical capability, and NetApp is one of the leading vendors in this important space,” says Mike Broderick, divisional director at Bytes Systems Integration.

“These awards from NetApp recognise our success in this area, and are ultimately founded on our ability to deliver value to our clients.”
