Prima Toys South Africa has announced the commercial release of MiP, a balancing robot toy.
The 17,7cm tall robot includes GestureSence technology and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing it to mimic gestures and be controlled from an iOS or Android smartphone.
MiP includes modes such as tracking, where it follows the user’s hands, feet or another object. It can dance, either in a pre-programmed or choreographed routine.
MiP can be set to roam, where it can explore its environment while detecting, acknowledging and avoiding objects in the way.
The little robot is able to perform tricks, with a capability of up to 50 commands and sequences of action.
MiP comes with a free app, available via the Apple iStore or Google PlayStore, that links via Bluetooth to a user’s smart device.
It is available in retail stores at a recommended retail price of R1 799.00.
