Cyberoam, a leading global provider of network security appliances, has announced the appointment of Aptronics KZN as their partner in South Africa.
This partnership will further enhance Cyberoam’s reach in the South African network security market which is projected to register a compounded annual growth rate of more than seven per cent over the next five years.
IT security budgets have become a priority for most businesses these days as losses due to cyber-attacks are increasing every year. Cyberoam has already established its presence in the region by helping organisations with their network security and management related issues. This partnership will help it extend its support to a bigger region.
Commenting on collaboration with Aptronics KZN, Mr Adrian Anema, channel manager Cyberoam, South Africa said, “We see a promising future for this alliance as both organisations share the same attitude and philosophy towards rendering support to the end customers. Aptronics has been associated with the local market since the last 20 years and has created a name in the market. We are looking forward to benefit from their experience and understanding of the local network security market.”
Aptronics offers an impressive array of IT solutions including Networking, Data Protection, Cloud Computing and Data Centre Relocation Services. It also has an extensive portfolio of virtualisation solutions.
However, as businesses are moving towards new virtualisation platforms to achieve economies of scale, the complexities related with security are growing. Cyberoam, which now supports leading virtualisation platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM and Citrix XenServer, will substantially beef up Aptronics KZN’s virtualisation portfolio.
Mary Harding, MD of Aptronics KZN said “We are excited to partner with Cyberoam. Their UTMs and NGFWs (Next Generation Firewalls) have been a talking point within the IT circles for some time now. Our comparative market study on network security appliances reveals that Cyberoam security solutions are best placed for the regional market. Combined with Aptronics, Cyberoam’s extensive client support is another value add.
“Hence, we are certain that Cyberoam will be the preferred network security solution provider in the region in a very near future.”
Lynton Lubbe from Cyberoam’s South African Distributor, Core Networks, adding his views on the development says “We are set to scale bigger and as we expand our partner ecosystem, joining hands with partners like Aptronics helps us seize growth opportunities in specialised areas such as data centres, virtualisation and more. And while it’s good to have scale, it can’t be done without the right skills and experience.
“With Aptronics, we are aiming at building an ecosystem around specialised areas where customers are struggling with security and network management challenges.”
With presence in more than 125+ countries worldwide, Cyberoam is a network security vendor that specifically caters to a critical need of organisations – identifying users in the network – which gives it an edge in the network security market across the globe.
Recognised as leading innovator in the network security market, Cyberoam’s comprehensive security solutions successfully empower businesses across all verticals. Such collaborations are seen as steps towards its goal to become the most preferred NGFW & UTM solutions provider.
