IndigoCube’s accreditation as a training provider for the National Certificate: Business Analysis qualification has been renewed by the Media, Information and Communication Technologies Sector Education and Training Authority (MICT SETA).
The qualification is ranked at Level 6 with 149 credits on the National Qualifications Framework and approved by the ETQA regulations No.R1127. IndigoCube’s Robin Grace and David Peters have also been accredited as moderators and assessors for the same course.
IndigoCube is the only company in South Africa to be fully accredited to provide the full business analysis qualification.
MICT SETA only grants accreditation after a rigorous assessment process. Accreditation recognises the competence of the accredited organisation or person to provide skills training that will contribute towards the achievement of recognised standards or qualifications, and thus professional certification.
“Certification is becoming more and more important in the business analysis world, and this accreditation means that people can be confident that the training they receive from us will benefit their professional careers,” says Grace, principal specialist at IndigoCube.
Grace explains the emphasis on certification is becoming more marked in line with the growing importance of applications to corporate success. As business analysts are key to the success of software-development projects, they need to be able to demonstrate their professional expertise and maintain their skill levels.
“Business analysts need solid grounding in fundamental principles to deal with the pace of change, and the growing demands placed on them,” he concludes. “Software is now vital to business success, which means that those involved in creating it need to be at the top of their games. Certification from an accredited training provider is an integral part of building a successful career in business analysis.”
