Westcon has announced that it has appointed a new director for its local Cisco distribution business, Comstor.

Louise Taute, an industry and Westcon stalwart with more than 22 years in the ICT industry, will head up the only Cisco Collaboration Accredited distributor in South Africa.
“We are delighted that Louise has agreed to take on the role of Comstor Director in a permanent capacity,” says Paul Conradie, CEO, Weston Group Southern Africa. “She is a driven, motivated individual who understands the partner landscape and has an intimate knowledge of both the Cisco and NetApp businesses. We wish her well and offer her all the support she will need in driving new business forward.”
During her more than two decade career, Taute has held executive management positions in marketing and sales, as well as strategic accounts management. She has held positions at PQ Africa, Duxbury and Neotel. H
“The Comstor business is sitting at a precipice of great things as we gear ourselves and our customers to begin unlocking the potential of new technologies within the application centric and Internet of Everything (IoE) space,” says Taute. “I am looking forward to working with our customers to introduce them to and lead them into the future of technology.”
Comstor has been selling Cisco products for nearly 30 years and currently has operations on six continents and shipping access to more than 100 countries.
