Qlik has announced that Colliers International, a leading global commercial real estate company, will be introducing Qlik Sense across EMEA to arm its senior leadership team with critical business insight and inform strategic decision-making.
Colliers International offers comprehensive services to investors, property owners, tenants and developers, providing a broad range of real estate consultancy services.
Globally, Colliers International is one of the world’s largest commercial real estate firms, employing 15,800 professionals in 485 offices across 63 countries. The company introduced QlikView® in 2009 as a way of providing clients with self-service access to insight into their property portfolio data. Rather than simply presenting the latest statistics, the tool enabled clients to analyse market trends and identify where money could be saved.
Following the success of the QlikView implementation, the company has now chosen to deploy Qlik Sense to address its internal data challenge, as well as to enable C-suite executives and senior managers to make strategic data-driven business decisions.
Colliers International needed to be able to capture and harness important client and financial data from across EMEA in a way that could be easily unified, manipulated and used to put something back into the business.
Whereas before employees had simply been collecting data, implementing Qlik Sense is now enabling them to use and visualize this data to make critical business decisions such as identifying new areas for growth and increasing business efficiency. Following a successful implementation, the company plans to offer the Qlik Sense platform to teams globally.
“We chose Qlik Sense over any other BI tool because it takes data intelligence away from the IT department and allows us to place it directly in the hands of our leadership teams.” says Perry Willis, Head of Information Technology EMEA at Colliers International.
“Qlik Sense allows our regional managing directors and senior managers to access the data they need to help make decisions that can ultimately impact our bottom line. Data visualization is now being actively used in the boardroom and informing our senior discussions, and we’re even more excited by how Qlik Sense can help the company grow in new directions.”
“We have been very impressed with Qlik Sense so far,” continued Perry. “Ultimately, the synergy we are rapidly developing by using both QlikView and Qlik Sense in tandem is helping solve a variety of business problems both internally by giving us a holistic view of company data, and externally as we strive to provide the best service to our clients.”
Sean Farrington, RVP Northern Europe & MD UK & Ireland at Qlik, concludes, “Qlik Sense is designed to provide business users with the intuitive experience they need and to make the most of their data in an easy-to-understand real-time fashion. We’re delighted Qlik Sense is delivering important business growth for Colliers International, supporting strategic decision making and helping them navigate the complexities of an acquisition.”
