Eaton Electric South Africa, a power management company, recently launched a Sales Graduate Program designed to provide smart and innovative marketing and electrical engineering graduates from all over the continent with tools they need to succeed at Eaton and beyond.
The programme runs for 12 months with trainees exposed to intense leadership, technical electrical products training, sales training, coaching by experienced sales engineers and practical exposure to the market which will allow them to think and act like expert sales engineers and give them the ability to operate in the Africa market.
Eaton is dedicated to nurturing development in Africa particularly focusing on their six key segments namely mining, oil and gas, commercial construction, data centers & IT, utilities and solar & wind. This programme will equip graduates to be key players and contributors within these important industries.
“At Eaton Electric SA, we invest in our people and are committed to supporting the National Government’s drive for the development of skills in South Africa and actively contributing to the economic growth of the continent by providing opportunities for students to gain world class training and corporate exposure,” says Portia Thokoane, head of Human Resources, Eaton Electric Africa.
“We understand how critical sales and growth is to the success of any organisation, as a company we have therefore designed the graduate programme to develop future sales leaders and provide them with a broad understanding of various disciplines,” she adds.
Some of these graduates will secure full time employment at Eaton at the end of this programme based on performance throughout the training period.
