OpenWeb introduced a limited promotion in November 2014 on its capped ADSL accounts that offered users unlimited access between 00:00 and 06:00 daily, irrelevant of usage during peak periods. The promotion was set to expire at the end of February 2015.

However, OpenWeb has announced that the unlimited access will be made permanent effective immediately. This means that all paid for capped unshaped accounts will now have uncapped unshaped access between 00:00 and 06:00, even if their peak time cap has been reached.

OpenWeb founder and CEO Keoma Wright says many clients cannot justify paying for an uncapped account when their peak time usage does not justify it. “Now with OpenWeb’s Capped product, all clients, even those paying R38 per month will benefit from completely uncapped and unshaped access between 00:00 and 06:00 daily.”

“The best part of it all is that the 00:00 to 06:00 usage is calculated separately from the peak time cap, therefore clients on capped, wishing to perform heavy downloads, can do so daily between the above hours,” he explains.

Capped packages start at only R38 per month for a 5Gb peak and unlimited off-peak package.

All current clients will benefit from this new offering, all accounts were converted on 1 December 2014.
