Mustek’s Nelspruit branch has moved to bigger and more centralised premises in Riverside, following its successful launch in the area in 2011 and subsequent impressive growth.
The move comes as Mustek continues to expand countrywide to better service each province and increase distribution.
The Nelspruit branch was first opened in 2011 with a focus on Mustek building close relationships with its clients in both the private and public sectors in the area. Branch manager – Mpumalanga, Deon Pottas, explains: “By having a local presence we are now able to carry stock for our clients and offer them optimal service, as well as improve on turnaround times and in turn increase sales.”
This way of thinking has paid off, as the branch has more than doubled its turnover and staff complement in the last three years, having created six permanent jobs. The new premises accommodate this and future growth, thanks to their centralised location in Riverside, bigger warehouse space and facilities that allow Mustek to host events such as technology updates, product roadshows and on-site training.
Sharing his perspective on Mustek’s presence in Nelspruit and its recent relocation, MD, Hein Engelbrecht, comments: “We have recognised the sustainable high growth potential of the Mpumalanga region, and the corresponding ICT requirements of new and existing enterprises in the area.
“With our branch in Nelspruit, we are able to provide the necessary ICT solutions from a single source, with the support of local service and repairs. I believe the growth of the branch in a relatively short period of time speaks to the benefits of our local presence, both for our business and our clients.”
Pottas is excited about the potential for the further growth of Mustek in Nelspruit.
He says, “In 2015, we will be building on our existing efforts to understand our individual customers’ needs and optimise our service levels to them. Part of this will be ensuring we keep sufficient stock for faster turnaround.” In addition, the branch will continue its focus on education and on energy in the public sector, which has proved to be a large part of Mustek’s business in the region.
He concludes, “In the next five years, we would like to see Mustek Mpumalanga as the leading distributor in the province. With our new premises and solid client relationships, we are here to stay!”
Mustek has regional branches in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, East London, Kimberley, Polokwane, Nelspruit, Mahikeng and Bloemfontein.
