The Cell C Take a Girl Child to Work Day campaign will take place on Thursday, 4 June 2015 – the 13th time this acclaimed initiative has taken place.

Cell C Take a Girl Child to Work Day is targeted at Grade 10 to 12 South African girl learners and gives them the opportunity to visit a place of work and to experience the various career opportunities available to them.

More than 50 000 young people will take part this year with hundreds of companies around the country opening their doors to them.

Since the first launch in 2003, more than 2 400 companies and government departments have participated in the Cell C Take a Girl Child to Work Day campaign.

By showing their support of Cell C’s call to action for the advancement of women, 670 000 girl learners have been exposed to a multitude of businesses and varied career and job opportunities. The project is supported by the Presidency, which has hosted girl learners since the inaugural event, as well as being endorsed by the Department of Education.

Companies who wish to host a group of girls on 4 June 2015 should register online from 9 March 2015.
