Check Point Software Technologies recently announced that the company led worldwide market share for Firewall Equipment in Q3 2014, according to research published by Gartner.
Gartner’s Market Share: Enterprise Network Equipment research states:
* Check Point leads worldwide market share with 21,9% of the Firewall Equipment market in Q3 2014.
* Check Point’s number one market share position represents a 5,3 percentage point and 10.2 percentage point lead over the two nearest competitors ranked in the Firewall Equipment market in Q3 2014.

In addition, “By 2018, 85% of new deals for network sandboxing functionality will be packaged with network firewall and content security platforms,” states a recent Gartner Strategic Planning Assumption.
