Katika Consulting has announced the appointment of Jaco Cronje as MD.
A Level Four B-BBEE engineering consultancy, Katika specialises in refining business processes, designing information and communication technology solutions and electronic security systems and consulting in the field of electrical low voltage implementations.
Cronje started his career as a business analyst and consultant in the communications and high technology industry before achieving his professional registration in the electrical and electronic engineering fields. He has extensive project engineering experience and has held numerous management positions enabling learnings to be implemented in Katika Consulting.
Cronje explains, “Katika originated from the concept of delivering personalised engineering and project management services within the technology industry and built environment. We implement tailor made solutions to assist our clients in achieving world class competitive advantages.”
Founded in 2014, Katika’s vision is to direct human and business energy to improve efficiency and sustainability. The company name is derived from the Swahili word for within.
“There is an energy within everyday life, you can choose to see it or not,” comments Cronje. “We call that energy, Katika. We are challenged to find and improve that aspect within every process, building and community which can be further improved to deliver on a greater sense of fulfilment.”
Cronje graduated from UCT with a B.Sc. Engineering Degree specialising in electrical and computer engineering. He is a Green Star SA Accredited Professional with the GBCSA as well as a Certified Data Centre Professional.
