Accenture and Oracle are launching a multi-year strategic initiative to bring the performance and flexibility of Oracle Engineered Systems to clients more quickly and cost-effectively.
Accenture has created a set of solutions incorporating Oracle Engineered Systems into Accenture’s leading data centre transformation consulting and outsourcing services.
These solutions allow clients to ready their data centres to manage, process and analyse the huge amounts of data being generated in a digital world, and at the same time help reduce total cost of data centre ownership through significant consolidation of servers, storage and networking components.
Accenture has formed a team of over 300 consultants who combine their experience with proprietary and field-tested methodologies and tools to help simplify solution implementation, increase productivity and improve the stability of data centres.
For example, the new solutions can help reduce the effort and cost of migrating any vendor database to an Oracle Engineered Systems platform, which can lower cost of ownership by up to 50%.
The Accenture team will be supported by Oracle Enterprise Architects and dedicated Oracle Engineered Systems engineers, who will help deliver and support the solutions while accelerating time to value for clients and reducing deployment risk.
Oracle Engineered Systems, including Oracle Exadata Database Machine, Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud, Oracle SuperCluster and Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine, pre-integrate hardware and software to reduce the cost and complexity of IT infrastructures while increasing productivity and performance.
With its extensive capabilities in the entire portfolio of Oracle’s hardware and software offerings, Accenture has built a number of assets to complement Oracle Engineered Systems.
The recently announced Accenture Center of Excellence for Oracle Engineered Systems, for instance, brings together Accenture’s functional and industry experience with leading Oracle technologies.
Before making a significant investment, clients can test their workloads on Oracle Engineered Systems to get a picture of how a similar setup can accelerate their enterprise applications and strengthen analytics capabilities for performance and business benefit.
Additionally, the Accenture Foundation Platform for Oracle, which helps clients accelerate deployments on Oracle Fusion Middleware, has been established on Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud and Oracle Exadata Database Machine.
Accenture and Oracle are also investing in, working on and implementing transformational industry-specific solutions that utilise Oracle Engineered Systems.
For example, the Accenture Life Sciences Cloud helps clients analyse enormous amounts of clinical data to improve overall development and enhancements of pharmaceuticals, and the Accenture Public Service Platform is a private cloud solution that accelerates implementations of systems for health reform.
Accenture has one of the fastest-growing Oracle enterprise solutions practices among full-service integrators, with more than 52 000 consultants around the world qualified to provide implementation, upgrade and outsourcing solutions for the Oracle product suite.
This initiative combines the power of this organisation with Accenture’s market-leading Technology Consulting practice consisting of approximately 16 000 infrastructure specialists who have a 20+ year track record in delivering complex infrastructure transformations on a global scale.
Accenture is a Diamond level member in Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) – the highest level available in OPN – and has completed 46 Specialisations.
