Accsys, a member of the Business Connexion Group (BCX), will launch its latest payroll software offering, PeopleWeb, a web-based solution targeted at the small-to-medium market, in the first quarter of 2015.
Accsys PeopleWeb is aimed at the mid-tier segment at businesses with a staff complement of less than 100 employees.

The South African HR market is widely acknowledged to be a fast-growth area in terms of solution investment and application.

Service providers focused on this market identify automation, Web-based interface, enhanced data management and collaboration as main drivers.

Accsys is a recognised national supplier of people management software and hardware solutions within the HR, payroll and time & attendance space.

With PeopleWeb the Company has focused on ease-of-use, on functionality and flexibility. There is no training requirement, different languages can be selected although they are supporting in English, and the look and feel of the solution can be customised with various colour schemes.

There are no contracts involved, clients may process the first 20 payslips free of charge and Accsys will retain a client’s database for three months which means clients will be able leave the solution for a while and then pick it up again at any time.

“The solution uses the same powerful calculation engine being used by PeopleWare Enterprise. We developed a new front-end with multi-tenant capabilities,” says Dr Liam Terblanche, chief technology officer at Accsys.

Terblanche says the solution is ideal for companies that do not want to invest in infrastructure to process their payroll. “As these companies grow and mature, they can – at any time – upgrade their contract to the full PeopleWare Enterprise while retaining their data and transaction history.”

Accsys PeopleWeb overcomes the complexity of payroll administration because anyone, even those with a limited knowledge of payroll processing, are able to use the solution.

“There is a need for payroll solutions that can meet the demands of today’s business environment but are equally easy to install, cost effective and are not difficult to use. Payroll is growing in significance and is being impacted by the exponential growth in data and in people management processes that link up with the cloud and big data considerations – PeopleWeb is everything in one and with low barriers to entry and exit,” says Teryl Schroenn, CEO of Accsys.

Accsys PeopleWeb is going live on 1 March, 2015.
