Acer’s board of directors has approved George Huang, Acer chairman, to concurrently lead the newly established Global Strategy Office.
Assuming the role of corporate chief strategy officer, Huang will focus on seeking new business investment opportunities for the company’s long-term direction and sustainability.
In addition he will oversee Acer’s business strategies across the organization by building on its existing foundations of the PC, tablet, smartphone and other hardware products connected within Acer’s BYOC (Build Your Own Cloud) ecosystem.
With Huang’s wealth of experience across industries and as one of the company co-founders, he was officially appointed Acer chairman on 18 June.
