Altron TMT has announced the acquisition of Inter-Active Technologies, by its wholly-owned subsidiary Bytes People Solutions (part of Bytes Technology Group). The agreement has been signed, and is subject to regulatory approval by the Competition Commission.
As a specialist customer interaction management business, Inter-Active Technologies delivers a wide range of dedicated customer service enhancing tools and professional services to a variety of blue chip South African customers.
These include professional call centre consulting services, outsourced customer contact centres, customer service technology platforms and customer service software.
The acquisition is of strategic importance to the Bytes People Solutions business in that it extends the range of value offerings across both inbound and outbound customer services to current and new customers.
According to Dr Madelise Grobler, MD of Bytes People Solutions, the acquisition will greatly enhance Bytes People Solutions’ existing service offerings.
“The acquisition of Inter-Active Technologies will add enormously to the current capabilities of Bytes People Solutions as we aggregate the skills and abilities of the respective businesses,” says Grobler.
“For some time now, we have been looking at ways in which we can strategically extend the services and reach of Bytes People Solutions in order to ensure our continued growth and success. The opportunity to purchase Inter-Active Technologies was most fortuitous, and we believe there are tremendous positive and strategic benefits to the acquisition.”
Bytes Technology Group is well positioned to integrate Inter-Active Technologies as a going concern (including employees, customers, suppliers, assets and facilities).
Its own recent interim financial results were exceedingly positive with double digit growth in virtually every measurement area. Revenue increased by 14% to R4,3-billion, and Adjusted Headline Earnings were 19% ahead of last year.
