The fifth annual China Sourcing Fair (CSF) Johannesburg is set to take place at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec from 13 to 15 November 2014.
According to the Computer Manufacturing Market Research Report from IBISWorld (2013), China has become the computer production base for the world.
“Electronics is one of the fastest moving industries and retailers are pressured with margin squeezes and continuous product innovations. Consumers seek trendy new products at affordable prices, while retailers are trying to adapt fast enough to satisfy the ever-changing needs of consumers,” says Global Sources GM Bill Janeri. “Suppliers from China are able to produce quality products at lower costs and therefore offer feasible solutions to importers.”
Products on show at the Fair will include Blu-ray players, televisions, home theatre systems, solar and energy saving products, LED lights as well as PC and iPad accessories.
Last year, the Fair attracted more than 8 500 visitors. “We are expecting a surge in visitor attendance this year and have therefore decided to relocate to a new venue, which will offer visitors a more convenient sourcing platform,” Janieri says.
CSF visitors are invited to attend the free “How to Source from China” conference on the first two days of the Fair.
