Columbus Technologies has announced the availability of an innovative new solution for endpoint security.
Based on DriveLock, which is developed by Center Tools, a German developer, the solution provides an integrated approach to securing corporate applications and data in today’s extended enterprise.
The need for such a solution is acute given today’s escalating security threats, especially as business imperatives are driving the adoption of mobility, social media, Web applications and data in today’s extended enterprise—all of which require proper management to mitigate risk. At the same time, budgets are tight and specialised skills are in short supply.
“This innovative new solution for endpoint security will help our clients solve these challenges by using integrated technologies, unparalleled threat intelligence and highly flexible managed services designed to meet the unique demands of their businesses,” says Sidwell Ngqandu, Sales Director at Columbus Technologies.
Another innovation is the option of buying DriveLock-based endpoint security as a service. This managed security service will offer access to security knowledge, expertise and best practice to the design, implementation and maintenance of a secure IT infrastructure. It will also enable the prevention, detection, and reporting of security threats, which are constantly evolving, in line with the Auditor-General’s requirements.
“This is powerful software and needs to be deployed properly. To be frank, the whole security environment is becoming so specialised that many organisations are finding it makes sense to purchase it as a service, which is what we are offering.
“Government clients particularly appreciate this option because it frees up scarce resources for core activities and obviates the need for constant upskilling. Columbus Technologies is accredited under Sita’s 1183 services contract,” Ngqandu concludes. “It’s all about providing a total solution to endpoint security, not just another piece of technology.”
