Dac Systems, a national specialist service provider focussed on turnkey implementations of leading edge industry solutions, has confirmed that the Siyavula catalogue of digital textbooks is available within their AlwaysOn-Learning education solution.
The Siyavula stable incorporates a number of titles focussing on several school subjects including mathematics, science, natural science and technology, as applied in specific school grades.
The Siyavula catalogue of openly licensed titles for high-school includes the Everything Maths and Science series for Mathematics and Physical Sciences for Grades 10 to Grade 12, as well as Life Sciences and Mathematical Literacy.
Primary school titles include the openly licensed Grade 4 to Grade 6 Science workbooks by the SASOL Inzalo Foundation and Siyavula along with the Science Adventures with the Thunderbolt Kids comic book series
Dac Systems recently launched AlwaysOn-Learning, a global education solution that promotes the concept of learning anytime anywhere.
This solution caters for three primary pillars in education, including institution/educator, learner/student and parent/family.
Dac Systems is continuously updating the dynamics of AlwaysOn-Learning to ensure its continued relevance and strength within Africa’s burgeoning virtual learning market.
Aldo van Tonder, solutions executive at Dac Systems, says Siyavula has been testing AlwaysOn-Learning specific to the way it relays text book information and how the offering can be incorporated.
The company has stated its satisfaction with the way in which AlwaysOn-Learning are making these openly licensed textbooks currently widely used in printed form also available in digital format to learners.
“The incorporation of the acclaimed Siyavula online education material adds a new and exciting dimension to the virtual learning space, and Dac System’s contribution specifically,” says Van Tonder.
“Technology is a foundation resource that will empower a new generation of youth who are exposed to- and readily access solutions to broaden their knowledge. We are here to support educators and parents in their quest to acquire and apply the very best solutions available,” he adds.
To date AlwaysOn-Learning has attracted the interest and involvement of established technology service providers including Dell, Microsoft and Nokia.
