Distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC) has appointed Nathaniel Chudayan as its new Samsung and Canon product specialist. Chudayan is responsible for managing and developing sales and market share nationally for the Canon supplies and Samsung range. He will also provide support to DCC’s resellers and internal sales staff.

“DCC secured Samsung distribution rights in 2013 which necessitated a stronger brand focus. Chudayan’s appointment will assist DCC to do this as well as provide continuity for the focus on the Canon brand,” says Michael Watts,
Business Unit Manager at DCC.

Chudayan started his career in office automation at Nashua in 2004. Throughout his nine years at the company, Chudayan worked his way up in the organisation, starting out as an internal sales executive, then progressing to
becoming an external sales executive and ultimately becoming a consumables manager. ‘

As the consumables manager, Chudayan was responsible for managing and supplying the full range of toners, cartridges, paper and supplies
to the end-user market.

“I am looking forward to the opportunities DCC will offer me and the product specialist position will allow me to further grow and extend my knowledge and expertise within the industry,” says Chudayan.

Chudayan’s previous positions have provided him with the experience of working directly with the end user as a reseller. This has provided Chudayan with the understanding of the resellers’ requirements and challenges they face with
the end-user. His new position at DCC will now see him working with resellers from a distributor’s perspective. The knowledge he gained from working in a reseller environment will assist him to better serve this market.

Adds Chudayan, “Working in the IT industry has always been my passion. Reading about and understanding this changing environment is fascinating and the challenges that this industry faces on a daily basis is what has ultimately
led me to my current career path.”
