Connecting your office using mobile broadband has never been easier or faster, thanks to the new range of Huawei routers from distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC). The Huawei B68A 3G/HSDPA router and the B593 LTE router allow you to wirelessly connect up to 32 devices or users quickly and easily, making them the ideal solution for the small office home office (SOHO), small to medium enterprise (SME) and even connected households.
“Everyone needs broadband connectivity today, from homes to home offices, small businesses and enterprises of all sizes. However, fixed line infrastructure such as ADSL and fibre is often unavailable or is too time and admin-intensive to install.
“Mobile broadband is experiencing a growth explosion as a result, and has become an affordable, simple solution. Now, with the increasing rollout of LTE, coverage speeds are better than ever. The new range of routers from Huawei allows users to take full advantage of mobile broadband by creating a fully-fledged network to share data among multiple users in a variety of environments,” says Fayaaz Seedat, Huawei consumer product specialist at DCC.
The Huawei B68A is a 3G and HSDPA enabled router that offers a fast, easy way to connect users to GSM data networks. It supports data download speeds of up to 28Mbps and upload speeds of up to 5,76Mbps, allowing up to 32 simultaneous wireless connections as well as four wired Local Area Network (LAN) connections.
The device is compatible with the latest wireless standard protocol, wireless-n, as well as older protocols – g and n. An optional antenna can be used to boost signal strength where necessary. For security purposes, the B68A incorporates a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server, Network Address Translation (NAT), Domain Name System (DNS) relay and firewall functionality. The router works on all South African networks.
The Huawei B593 is an LTE router than delivers speeds of up to 150Mbps for lightning fast browsing and downloading, depending on available network coverage. It also supports previous high-speed data technologies including 3G and HSDPA, to ensure the best possible data experience regardless of the type of coverage available.
The B593 is compatible with Vodacom, MTN and Cell C networks, while a separate device is available for use on Telkom Mobile (8ta) networks.
“Time consuming and complicated network setup is a thing of the past with the Huawei B68A and B593 routers. Simply insert your data-enabled SIM card into the device and you are ready to go. You can also configure passwords and protected setup, to ensure that only authorised users can access your network,” Seedat adds.
The Huawei B68A and B593 are available immediately from resellers and leading retailers for a recommended retail price of R1 550.00 and R2 550.00 respectively. All prices are inclusive of VAT.
