Dimension Data, the $6-billion ICT solutions and services provider, today announced it is one of six organisations worldwide that has been positioned by Gartner, in the Leaders Quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for Communications Outsourcing and Professional Services (COPS) 2014 report for the fourth consecutive year.

Compiled by Gartner analysts, the Magic Quadrant evaluates 15 vendors’ capabilities for IT services for business communications systems worldwide, employing two main evaluation criteria. These include ‘ability to execute’ and ‘completeness of vision’.

Dimension Data CEO, Brett Dawson says, “We feel being positioned in the Leader Quadrant for the fourth consecutive year is a tremendous milestone for the Group. We continue to put our clients at the centre of everything we do. In the last 12 months, we invested significantly in our COPS capabilities, and our focus remains on delivering services-led engagements that help our 6 000 clients across the globe accelerate their business ambitions.

“We enhanced our consulting and professional services capabilities and our development models such as our Software-defined Networking Development Model and our UC Development Model. Today, our consulting and professional services is the fastest growing area of our business.”

Dawson says the Group also continued to evolve its communications value proposition towards a full-service model.

“We are expanding our traditional unified communications offerings to include cloud services which enable clients to move from a capex- to an IT-as-a-service model, and have significantly strengthened our communications capabilities in the IT outsourcing space.

“With these successes in FY14, I believe Dimension Data is well positioned within the COPS market, and has a strong and relevant strategy to deliver exceptional business value to our clients at every step of their journey towards outcomes-focused ICT.”
