Ericsson is pleased to announce that it has received the Volvo Cars Quality Excellence Award in recognition of its commitment to deliver and maintain Volvo Cars’ high standards and requirements on quality.
Volvo Cars has launched cloud-enabled connected car services such as a Park & Pay solution, Connected Service Booking and a variety of infotainment applications that enrich the experience of traveling in a Volvo car. Ericsson enables Volvo’s connected car services by providing consulting and systems integration services and Ericsson’s Connected Vehicle Cloud solution, based on the Service Enablement Platform.
Ericsson’s Connected Vehicle Cloud connects vehicles and their occupants with services and information from third parties such as automotive manufacturers, dealers, fleet managers, network operators, repair shops, support centers, utilities, app developers, content providers, insurance companies and media agencies.
The solution, branded Sensus Connect by Volvo, is integrated with Volvo Car Group’s IS/IT environments and in-vehicle systems and operated as a managed service by Ericsson, and is available in selected markets.
Charlotta Sund, Head of Ericsson’s Region Northern Europe and Central Asia, says: “We’re very proud of what we have achieved together with Volvo Car and we will continue to work together to make new and innovative services available to the occupants of Volvo vehicles. This award is great recognition of our ability to deliver services and solutions to consistently high standards.”
Ericsson received the award at a ceremony in Volvohallen in Gothenburg, Sweden, on 27 November.
