Moroccan mobile operator inwi is to deploy Flexenclosure’s hybrid power solution eSite at 30 telecom sites across Morocco.

Flexenclosure will provide turnkey deployments with all equipment and services needed for running the sites for five years, delivering “trouble free” power. Flexenclosure is a specialist developer of intelligent power management systems and prefabricated data centres for the ICT industry.

In a multi-million dollar deal, Flexenclosure will deliver a first batch of 30 of its eSite hybrid power management systems for telecom sites to the Moroccan mobile operator inwi over the next two months. inwi intends to purchase an
additional 135 eSites over the next two years after the validation of the test phase. The power management solutions will be deployed nationwide.

According to the newly signed agreement, Flexenclosure will provide turnkey eSite deployments. The contract includes all equipment and services required for running the sites for five years, delivering ‘trouble free’ power.

eSite is a portfolio of energy-efficient hybrid power systems for base station sites in areas where grid power is unreliable or unavailable.

Powered by renewable energy sources or the grid and a backup genset, eSite can deliver a 90% reduction in diesel fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, and energy related OPEX compared to traditional diesel based systems. The eSites in Morocco will be supplied in various configurations to minimise generator run hours, some as diesel-battery hybrid power systems and some as solar hybrid power systems.
