Apple has withdrawn its iOS 8.0.1 update, following a storm of protests from users that it was corrupting their iPhones.

Users have been warned not to download the update, which appeared to be responsible for users losing access to their cellular networks and Touch ID.

Fortunately, reverting to iOS 8.0 appears to address the problems and restore users’ phones to normal.

The iOS 8.0.1 update was initially launched to solve some issues in iOS 8.0, including the HealthKit bug, difficulties in accessing the Photo Library and deselection of third-party keyboards.

Meanwhile, users of the large-screen iPhone 6 have sent in a flurry of complaints about the device bending in their pockets.
