Lounge İstanbul guests can now enjoy Sky Library and other information services thanks to iBeacon technology. Turkish Airlines’ strategy is to make passengers feel special and valued throughout their journey. Turkish Airlines is now offering the Sky Library app to all of its guests at the Lounge Istanbul, through iBeacon technology.
This service will enable guests to access Turkish Airlines publications; books in the fields of management, brands, marketing and communications; and fairy tale and story books for children of all ages.
The guests will also be able to view any info regarding Lounge Istanbul on their devices.
A new technology offered by Apple, iBeacon extends the coverage of Location Services over the iOS 7 operating system and uses a Bluetooth signal to find locations.
At the heart of the Turkish Airlines Lounge Istanbul Sky Library iBeacon project is the Veacon solution family. Sky Library users who enter Lounge Istanbul will be recognised by their Veacon devices, which will give them access to all the books with a single click during their stay at the Lounge. The users will also be able to make use of information services, which will give them a more enjoyable experience.
To access Sky Library with a single click using the iBeacon technology, existing users only need to update the application and new users need to download the application to their iPads or iPhones. The iBeacon can be downloaded compatible Sky Library application to iPads or iPhones or can be found online.
