McAfee, part of Intel Security, has announced that leading research firm Gartner has positioned the company in the Leaders Quadrant in its “Magic Quadrant for Secure Web Gateways” as published on 23 June 2014.
Gartner’s research examined leading companies offering Secure Web Gateways (SWGs) that “utilise URL filtering, advanced threat defence, legacy malware protection and application control technologies to defend users from Internet-borne threats, and to help enterprises enforce Internet policy compliance.”
Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Secure Web Gateways is based on an assessment of a company’s ability to execute and completeness of vision. Leaders in this quadrant are high-momentum vendors (based on sales and mind share growth) with established track records in SWGs, as well as with vision and business investments indicating that they are well-positioned for the future.
