Microsoft TechEd, Durban – The long-awaited Surface tablet from Microsoft will hit South African shores within the next couple of months.
This is the word from Microsoft’s Colin Erasmus, speaking during a session on consumerisation at TechEd this morning.
Erasmus was talking about the mobile devices currently on the market that can run the Windows 8 operating system.
“The Surface is not available in South Africa yet,” he says. “But we are planning to bring it in within the next couple of months.”
Erasmus says the Microsoft Surface tablet will be available in both Windows 8 Pro and Windows 8 RT (run time) versions.
Colin said this months ago, but thanks to a certain Disti actually caring about SA, I have my Surface and have supplied some to clients also.
