Following the departure of former country manager Pieter Bensch to head up the local HP operations, Oracle SA has announced a new interim country lead.
Kevin Attard, who was based in London as an Application Strategy & Sales Development senior director for the ECE/MEA region, takes up the position with immediate effect.
Attard joined Oracle in 2004 and was responsible for opening the company’s office in Malta. In 2007 he was relocated to Vienna to assume regional roles, starting with the setting up of Oracle Applications Mid-Market business for the
EE&CIS region.
In 2011, he was further promoted to lead the whole ERP business for the same region, also driving the Fusion Applications and SaaS strategy and as from June 2012 his role was extended to cover all applications solution portfolio in Eastern Europe, CIS, Russia and Middle East Africa region (ECE/MEA).
Attard has 22 years in the technology industry including stints at Air Malta, the country’s main beverage producer and one of Oracle’s top partners.
He has a Masters Degree in Business & Administration from the Grenoble Ecole de Management in France, where he is currently also pursuing a Doctorate Degree in collaboration with Newcastle Business School specializing further on the Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
