Local Internet service provider (ISP) OpenWeb has launched Download Heaven, a service that guarantees its uncapped customers unshaped access. The response from clients has been overwhelming.
OpenWeb CEO Keoma Wright says many ISP’s in South Africa leave much to be desired. “Poor service, ongoing download issues and high prices are the going trend. However, OpenWeb has steadily built a reputation as a leading ADSL ISP, by avoiding these issues and delivering superior solutions.”
Expanding its bouquet of unique solutions, OpenWeb introduced Download Heaven to help customers get the most out of their online experience, offering all uncapped clients guaranteed unshaped access between 00:00 and 06:00 daily.
“Our clients have already responded enthusiastically. We have had such a huge demand for a guaranteed unshaped window when clients can download at full speed. Our engineers developed an offering that will certainly please our clients,” he explains.
According to Wright, a guaranteed unshaped window means that all ports and protocols are treated equally. “Clients should be able to schedule downloads between 00:00 and 06:00 and get full speed access during this time.”
OpenWeb also offers other services including Business ADSL and Capped ADSL.
