Pinnacle Africa has been selected by Logitech to launch Logitech’s unified communications (UC) range of products in Africa.
“The rise of the mobile workforce, and the growing costs of business travel make unified communications products like mobile videoconferencing ever-more appealing to business customers,” says Pinnacle Africa’s MD
Tim Humphreys-Davies.
“The exclusive distribution partnership with Logitech will allow us to really tap into, and increase our foothold in, this growing market.”
Muneeba Edwards, Pinnacle Africa’s business lead for Logitech, says resellers will have access to an excellent partner programme offering attractive rebates.
“The products are very aggressively priced and, through Infrasol, we will be able to assist resellers with proof of concept and all other SLA services.”
Edwards adds that Pinnacle’s financing arm, Centrafin, will be available to assist with all finance-related projects.
According to Edwards, the UC product range essentially replaces the desktop phone with everything from video conferencing equipment to headsets and webcams. Since Logitech has partnered with Cisco, and its
products are certified by Microsoft, the range is fully compatible with Microsoft Lync and Cisco Call Manager.
As an end-point solution, Logitech’s UC range is typically focused on business/call centre and mobile environments.
Yousef Atwan, Logitech’s director for Middle East and Africa, comments: “Logitech is excited about the potential in the African markets and sees the partnership with Pinnacle as essential. We have an excellent range
of products that will meet the functional needs and price points of a wide range of African users within the enterprise and SMEs, and Pinnacle is leading in that space. We are very happy about the partnership with
Pinnacle Africa.”
Stock is already available and Pinnacle Africa will officially launch the unified communications range to its resellers in February.
