Powermode, a South African power provisioning company, has been appointed a value-added reseller (VAR) and systems integrator by the Delta Group, a global power and thermal management solutions company.
Delta’s range of high-end, transformer-based uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems will be marketed by Powermode which specialises in the design, implementation and support of back-up power sources for domestic, commercial and industrial applications.
“We are pleased to add Delta offerings to our portfolio,” says Jack Ward, MD of Powermode. “There is strong synergy between our organisations. Like Powermode, Delta is committed to innovating technically superior products and providing energy-efficient solutions for a wide range of applications.”
Ward adds that the unreliability of power in South Africa, exacerbated by the onset of winter, will place added emphasis on preparedness. “In this light, many organisations have come to realise the value of a reliable UPS system which can be depended upon to do duty on a daily basis, if necessary.”
Commenting on the appointment, Peter Bigler, Head of Sales for Delta EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), says Powermode’s long and proven history in the technology sector, its national footprint and service reach throughout the African sub-continent are attractive benefits from Delta’s perspective.
Delta UPS solutions include a full line-up of modular UPS systems and management software. Its offerings include industry-specific solutions targeted at a broad range of market sectors. Delta’s range includes one- and three-phase UPSes as well as online and line-interactive systems.
Graham Beyleveld, MD of RT Power Systems, the local Delta distributor, says: “Delta UPS solutions not only ensure uninterrupted processes with unmatched reliability but also meet growing business demands with uniquely-designed scalability and flexibility, ideal for the local marketplace.”
The full Delta product range comes in four models based on load type:
* Agilon family – for personal computers and peripherals.
* Amplon family – for servers and networking equipment.
* Ultron family – for data centres and industrial facilities.
* Modulon family – for modular UPS systems that offer scalability and redundancy in a single frame.
