Q-KON has joined the Ruckus Wireless Big Dog Partner Program. As a Big Dog Partner, Q-KON has committed to represent the Ruckus brand in Africa and add value to projects by helping companies to monetise WiFi.
Ruckus Wireless is a global supplier of advanced wireless systems for the rapidly expanding mobile Internet infrastructure market. The company offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor “Smart WiFi” products to mobile carriers, broadband service providers and corporate enterprises.

The company’s technology offering addresses WiFi capacity and coverage challenges caused by the ever-increasing amount of traffic on wireless networks due to accelerated adoption of mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.

The go-to-market strategy is to focus on unique and specialist WiFi projects and shifting the focus from providing access to positioning the technology as a revenue stream by adding other vendor applications and expertise.

Juan Prinsloo, senior executive at Q-KON, says the company has built up its knowledge and experience of WiFi accessibility in the market by leveraging off partnerships – including numerous successful deployments – and the focus on revenue generation is a logical next step in the evolution of its service delivery.

Ruckus Wireless is now officially part of Q-KON’s non-satellite connectivity solution portfolio and offering to emerging markets in Africa.

The partnership will strengthen Q-KON’s already dominant position in the delivery of reliable and feature-rich WiFi networks.

In Q-KON, Ruckus has a value-added system integrator who is determined and focused on exploring new markets with new technology.
