Symantec announced it has appointed Nick Christodoulou as its new country manager in South Africa. Nick will be responsible for growing Symantec’s consumer, commercial and enterprise business, while strengthening cooperation with partners.

The recent appointment underscores Symantec’s investment in the region and commitment to making the world a safer place by helping people, businesses, and governments protect and manage their information so they can focus on achieving their goals.

“I look forward to enabling our partners in South Africa to develop their expertise, while helping consumers and businesses protect and manage their information,” says Nick Christodoulou. “Raising the level of security awareness for users and educating businesses about how they can better manage critical information to ensure business continuity are top priorities.”

In the country manager role for South Africa, Christodoulou will report directly to regional director Gordon Love, who oversees Symantec’s fast-growing business across the vast region of Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META).

“We are thrilled to have Nick on board to lead our business in South Africa, which is an important market for Symantec. We are committed to growing the business, and our dedicated team in country exists to enable more touch points with customers so we can better serve them and continue to expand our market share.

“We see huge opportunity to help our customers and partners secure and manage their information in South Africa, and Nick brings valuable IT knowledge and experience to lead these efforts,” says Gordon Love, regional director, Middle East, Turkey and Africa.

Nick Christodoulou brings with him more than 15 years’ experience working in IT where he has held various sales and marketing leadership positions covering South Africa and East Africa.

Prior to Symantec, Christodoulou served as regional partner manager for EMC where he advanced the success of the company’s key partners and cross-functional team. He also served as GM for AxizWorkgroup where he developed sales strategy for its respective enterprise solution vendors.
