MicroStrategy, a leading worldwide provider of business intelligence (BI) and mobile software, has announced that TF1, the largest European private TV channel, owned by the Paris, France-based TF1 Group of media companies, is using the MicroStrategy BI Platform to effectively analyse its HR data stored in the SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse application.
SAP NetWeaver BW on the SAP HANA platform is SAP’s strategic enterprise data warehouse.
TF1 business users determined that their previous BI environment did not present data in a highly visual or interactive manner for decision makers. After evaluating several BI products to identify a versatile solution that offered rapid implementation and integration with SAP NetWeaver BW, TF1 chose MicroStrategy for its complementary data analysis, visualisation and comprehensive mobile capabilities.
By implementing MicroStrategy with SAP NetWeaver BW, TF1 decision makers have realised significant improvements in efficiency, speed and reporting ease. The integration of MicroStrategy with TF1’s deployment of SAP NetWeaver BW, conducted by Northgate Arinso and Censio, enables the HR staff to centralise all of its HR data to closely monitor and analyse its recruitment and salary policies.
“We considered many BI products and found that MicroStrategy’s platform easily integrated with SAP NetWeaver BW to access our HR data,” says Dan Malka, BI project manager at TF1.
“MicroStrategy’s native connectors to SAP NetWeaver BW and flexibility to connect to a relational model, combined with the positive experience our end users have with MicroStrategy, makes this a comprehensive solution for us.”
With MicroStrategy’s solution integrated with SAP NetWeaver BW, TF1 HR employees can:
* Visualise HR data using graphs and performance scorecards and deliver this insight to business users on their mobile devices;
* Create rankings and time-based comparisons;
* Perform a complete range of business calculations and build advanced analytics against HR data in SAP NetWeaver BW;
* Schedule reports to run to a personalised history list; and
* View detailed HR information in tabular grid reports or visualise simple grid-and-graph dashboards in a single click.
In addition, MicroStrategy recently joined the SAP PartnerEdge programme as a software solution and technology partner. Through the programme, partners work closely with SAP to develop and certify the technical integration of their solutions with SAP software.
MicroStrategy 9.0 is currently certified by SAP for integration with the SAP NetWeaver technology platform. Integrated partner applications extend, complement and add value to SAP solutions, thereby helping mutual customers more successfully meet business needs and drive strong results.
With MicroStrategy already focused on high-performance, high-scale BI applications and real-time mobile applications, its comprehensive software platform is well suited to complement SAP solutions. MicroStrategy 9.0 integrates with SAP NetWeaver BW using OLAP BAPI.
“MicroStrategy counts hundreds of leading companies as joint SAP customers,” says MicroStrategy president, Paul Zolfaghari.
“MicroStrategy’s alliance with SAP – through the SAP PartnerEdge program – is a tremendous step forward for our mutual customers.”
The MicroStrategy BI Platform delivers reports and dashboards to business users via a Web interface, mobile smart phones and tablets, and office productivity software suites.
Companies choose MicroStrategy BI for its ease-of-use, agile visual data exploration, sophisticated analytics, high performance, superior data and user scalability, as well as the ability to build a wide variety of mobile applications (“apps”) that deliver BI, business workflows, transactions, operational system access, and multimedia in compelling custom native apps.
The platform can be implemented on-premises or in MicroStrategy Cloud, a cloud-based BI platform as a service (PaaS) offering that allows enterprises to deploy MicroStrategy BI and mobile more quickly and with lower financial risk than equivalent on-premises solutions.
