The Westcon Group has made a key appointment to its South African business with the announcement that Michelle Chettoa has been promoted to the role of marketing director for its local operations. A specialised distributor of technology and communications solutions through an extensive partner network, the company is part of the global Westcon Group, a value-added distributor with over 100 offices around the globe.
A specialist business-to-business marketer, Chettoa brings more than 15 years of specialised ICT marketing experience to directorship, including intimate knowledge and understanding of strategic and tactical marketing within the global technology market.
“Michelle is a driven and motivated individual who has a core understanding of the role of each aspect of the channel, from vendor through to distributer and right back to the client-facing reseller,” states Paul Conradie, CEO, Westcon Group South Africa. “We believe that her passion, attention to detail and pragmatic approach to marketing will allow us to bring consistency and vibrancy to our growing Westcon brands.”
Prior to her role at Westcon, Chettoa held the position of marketing manager at Comztek as well as the role of South African marketing manager for a US-based enterprise software vendor. Her specialities include general and marketing management; brand building; print and digital design; and public relations.
