With Linksys’ announcement that the company is once again entering the business market, Westcon-Comztek partners will have immediate access to its recently unveiled WiFi Access Points, switches, VPN routers and IP surveillance products.

Partners and resellers will, with immediate effect, have access to the two new Linksys business grade Wireless-N access points. The company is touting the products as the ideal solution for businesses to deploy a fast, highly secure and reliable wireless network or to upgrade an existing wireless infrastructure.

“The new Linksys Business Wireless-N Access Points will provide customers with a cost-effective alternative WiFi solution for increasingly mobile device heavy business environments,” states Heinz Stephan, consumer solutions director at Westcon-Comztek.

“The new devices make use of the widely adopted 802.11n wireless technology, support advanced features such as Power over Ethernet for flexible placement, plus Rogue AP Detection and 802.11X supplicant for enhanced security.”

According to Linksys, its Wireless-N Access Points can be deployed as a WiFi access point or range extender to connect notebooks, smartphones, tablets, and other WiFi devices to the network and the Internet.

The new Wireless-N300 Access Point with PoE (LAPN300) is ideal for desktop use or can be mounted to a wall or ceiling. The device makes use of a single band with speeds up to 300Mbps, can be deployed as an access point or range extender, and comes coupled with advanced security built into the device.

It can also be powered by 802.3af/at compliant source, has a Gigabit Ethernet port, and is easy to set up and install via a Web Interface or Simple Network Management Protocol.

The second product, the Wireless-N600 Dual Band Access Point with PoE (LAPN600) can also be installed on a desktop or mounted to a wall or ceiling. This product is dual band (2.4Ghz + 5Ghz) with speeds up to 300Mbps + 300Mbps and can be deployed as an access point or range extender.

Advanced security is included on the device, it can be powered by 802.3at compliant source and also has a Gigabit Ethernet port, IPv6 support and can be set-up and managed through a Web Interface or Simple Network Management Protocol.

“As the demand for access to data via multiple mobile platforms grows, so does the need for secure robust WiFi enabled devices that can support applications such as voice over IP and video conferencing. This is particularly relevant for hotels, retail stores and restaurants from which customers are demanding access to WiFi services from.
