XDSL has signed a service level agreement (SLA) with Sizwe IT Group to support its national fibre network and Points of Presence (PoPs). XDSL recently announced that it will access Dark Fibre Africa’s (DFA’s) 8000 km of installed fibre to extend the capacity and reach of it national network.
This SLA agreement with Sizwe IT backs XDSL’s uptime guarantees to its clients as it rolls out its service offering on DFA’s network.

We have enjoyed a 12-year working relationship with the company and are fully confident in its capability to meet the SLA requirements.”
The SLA specifies a 30-minute fault response by Sizwe IT and a maximum of four hours for hardware replacement on major faults. The SLA covers Gauteng, Durban and Cape Town. “This SLA backs up our uptime guarantees to our clients and will allow XDSL to roll out services on DFA’s national network faster,” says Fourie.
With an outsourced support and maintenance agreement in place, XDSL is able to more aggressively expand its fibre network while keeping overheads low.
“The expansion of our network will assist us to offer clients increased capacity at better prices with greater geographic coverage. The SLA with Sizwe means we will have specialists looking after our core fibre network. It will boost rollout and implementation timeframes and allow us to incorporate high-level SLAs into our service offerings that we can back with confidence,” says Fourie.
